Where can you find good K12 internet homeschooling?
How do you know which internet
programs are good and which should be avoided. If you have more
than 1 child how can you balance different ages and grades all at
the same time? The answer is a good K12 internet homeschooling program.
Where do you turn for quality K12 internet homeschooling? If you have
more than 1 child you may really want to consider enrolling your children
in an internet school. This will cost a bit, especially for multiple
children but after you find a school that you like, it will save your
sanity.
Developing
curriculum for multiple grades is a monumentous task and there
are many reasons to have help. Some very good internet schools are
not too expensive and you just have to help you child with the lesson
plans.
The actual planning is done for you. There are
many K12 internet homeschooling programs. The first decision you
will have to make is whether or not you want the internet school
to be faith based or secular.
Once you have made that decision your choices will
be easier. Before we go further, let’s get a K12 definition.
K12 means that the subjects being taught are kindergarten through
12th grade. When you see an internet school stating K12 internet
homeschooling,
You will know that they cater to teaching children
in kindergarten through 12th grade. This is a real blessing to those
homeschooler with multiple children. Now that we know what everyone
is talking about lets look at some of the best K12 internet homeschooling
programs.
I will deal with 2 types, secular based and Christian
based. I have yet to find internet schools for Jewish, Islamic,
or Buddhist homeschoolers, so this article will just address Christian
and Secular.
If you are looking for a Christian K12 internet
homeschool, then you should seriously consider either The Grace
Academy or The Jubilee Academy. Both offer
affordable K12 internet homeschooling options.
Jubilee Academy actually offers a discount in tuition
for multiple children. This is a huge bonus for many homeschool
families. There are differences between these two schools so be
sure to shop around and find a school you like and can afford.
The Calvert School is the top rated secular K12
internet homeschooling program. Hands down it is the first place
you should look if you want a high quality accredited school for
you child to attend. The tuition is fair, it is way less expensive
than private school.
The curriculum conforms to most states requirements
so you will not have to worry about meeting state guidelines. It
is definitely worth looking at if you want a secular K12 internet
homeschooling experience for your child. By the way, secular means
non-religious.
There are many options for K12 internet homeschooling.
Be sure to find either an accredited school or a program that meets
your states guidelines.
One final word of caution – if you are in
California, a recent court ruling opinioned that homeschooling is
not legal in the state of California. Contact the Homeschool Legal
Defense Association for updates to this situation.
